The Deeley family has a long history of selling Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Vancouver. Moving the showroom into a larger space created an opportunity for Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada to create a flagship store that could integrate almost 100 years of the family’s motorcycle history with a unique expression of the Harley-Davidson’s brand.
Peeling back the warehouse interior to the steel structure, the design team used this blank canvas and integrated Douglas fir plywood, stainless steel, glass, and polished concrete to redefine the space. Harley-Davidson brand imagery is blended with that distinctive to British Columbia to provide a true local experience. Architectural interventions define functional areas and highlight bike models.
Blending a rich motorcycling history with the edgy industrial expressions of the Harley-Davidson brand, this flagship store set an award winning benchmark for the industry.
