Working with clients and communities to ensure safe pipelines serve generations

Supply and demand. A safe mode of transportation. Increased attention to process and impact. Oil and gas pipeline projects are not as linear and concrete as they may seem. While pipelines have transported oil and gas for decades, the approval process has changed dramatically. With in-house expertise and technology no other company can match, only our unique team can deliver a 21st Century pipeline.

Working in oil and gas for over 20 years, our team has the experience to deliver safe, reliable energy infrastructure across North America.

0
miles of pipeline

If all of our pipeline projects were connected, they would span the distance from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, to Houston, Texas, almost five times (25,000 kilometers).

0
projects per year

That’s nearly five projects a day dedicated to safe, efficient pipelines.

Knowledge is power. We want people to know how a pipeline could affect them now and in the future. And, we want people to feel safe. That’s why we’re dedicated to working with owners, stakeholders, regulators, and communities to develop a secure, reliable, and efficient pipeline. It’s simply the right thing to do.

Our Resource: Expertise

The idea of a pipeline can seem simple, but the process goes beyond designing a line from Point A to Point B. Because our best assets truly are our people—and the range of experience they bring with them—we believe complex projects don’t have to be complicated.

We’re distinct because of our creativity, our ability to look inside our company for solutions, and our dedication to doing what is right.

We cover every aspect of pipeline development, from permits through maintenance, and always design beyond 21st Century pipeline standards. Our deep well of knowledge provides the right solutions for clients and stakeholders.

Stantec’s resource is expertise, and only our team can produce from this reserve.

Relationships. Authenticity. Tradition. Our partnerships with Aboriginal communities allow us to consult with people touched by pipelines. The process is all about respect for culture and the environment. Working side-by-side, and sharing local knowledge, we’ve been able to create connections and foster growth.

Keeping it SLIM

Stantec’s Lifecycle Integrity Management (SLIM) approach lets us dig deep on a pipeline without breaking ground.

This approach includes a customized portal that combines engineering and environmental information from the design, construction, operation, and decommissioning phases of pipelines. Like a string that ties everything together, SLIM has information attached to every fiber.

One pull and data is at our—and our clients’—fingertips, ensuring pipline integrity is top of mind.

This program is uniquely ours. By providing clients with the right information and data when they need it, we can help protect communities and the environment.

We're better together

Our work begins at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships. With a long-term commitment to the people and places we serve, we have the unique ability to connect to projects on a personal level and advance the quality of life in communities across the globe.
