When our long-term client, Belmont Hill School, wanted its baseball field upgraded, we understood exactly what was needed: in a cost effective way, create a stadium-like field, aesthetically in keeping with the high standards of the school. To do so, we designed a natural grass field, with both a high degree of playability and beauty, and chose a high standard of material for the infield. We designed a brick veneer backstop and new team areas with new fencing and benches.
Our ability to be highly specific in the bidding documents kept costs under control, as did our decision to use a good deal of the material that was already on-site. Additionally, we maintained the existing layout, which also kept costs down. The schedule called for construction during the summer, and we made certain that the contractor met the schedule. The beautiful new baseball field was ready for the students when they returned in the fall.
