In 2009 we helped Choice Hotels International, one of the most successful lodging companies in the world, to design a new global home. With more than 6,200 franchises in more than 30 countries and territories, the new headquarters would need to reflect their success as much as their brand identity. Plus, we needed to present a space capable of inspiring relationships between hotel staff and franchised owners.
First, we needed to consider space. Consolidating three separate offices into one central location wasn’t without its challenges. It took 145,000 square feet of prime real-estate to realize the design vision. The new space represents the nexus between the company's corporate staff and their franchisees. Workspace, meeting rooms, touchdown spaces, and branding hubs celebrate the connections among employees, and the staircase joining the staff floors encourages communication and a healthier work environment.
Completed in May 2013, Choice Hotel’s new global headquarters is a testament to the company’s pride. This workplace solution effectively brings its employees together, embodies the Choice brand, and conveys high levels of international success.
