Fox Chase Cancer Center needed more outpatient space, and when you’re getting more need space, you’ve got the opportunity to grow your clinical program at the same time. Our job was project management services during construction: solicitation, evaluation, and recommendation to FCCC of all change orders and the facilitation of owner-responsible activities.
The space was tight, and the site was in close proximity to an adjacent medical facility. Add to that the neighborhood setting, and we had to do a lot of coordination with outside parties. We also developed and maintained the overall project schedule as well as managed and maintained the project budget.
The Fox Chase Cancer Center Research Pavilion includes two floors of clinical outpatient space, two linear accelerators, and shell space for a third linear accelerator and future MRI/CT suite. These and many other services will promote greater public health and support research and trials that will lead to new prevention, diagnostic, and treatment techniques.
