To accommodate evolving communities and their residents, major highways and roadways need to stay functional and measure up to current design requirements. We recognize the importance of working with communities and clients to improve roadway safety, and our work at Interchange 91 is proof of our commitment.
Interchange 91 is a partial interchange with ramps that only allow Parkway access to the north. Our upgrades include building five new ramps to complete the interchange and improve access between the Parkway, Burnt Tavern Road, Lanes Mill Road, and Burrsville Road. Improvements will also include Parkway widening for acceleration/deceleration lanes, the Burnt Tavern Road bridge replacement, local road widening for turning lanes, eight signalized intersections, and driveway access revisions.
Working for Ocean County, who is overseeing the work with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, we created alternate improvement concepts, prepared the project design report, and finished preliminary design plans for the recommended alternative.
