On one side of the Gran Patio development in Mexico City is one of the richest neighborhoods in the city, on the other is one of the poorest. 85 percent leased at the start of construction, its tenant mix includes big box and specialty retail stores, restaurants, office space, a casino, theater, gym, and arts school. The project’s rooftop park provides a place for people to meet in a city that lacks safe open spaces.
We provided retail planning, architectural design, landscape character and specialty features design, interior design, environmental graphics and wayfinding services. Our design allows our client to easily and affordably refresh the center through a flexible and profitable sponsorship, banner and media screen program.
Gran Patio is a visionary project because the developer wants to attract a full demographic spectrum, including high income, student, local workforce, tourist, and low income patrons. The destination will satisfy community need for an aspirational, emotion-based, comfortable, safe and enjoyable retail, dining, and entertainment experience.
