Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is dedicated to patient care excellence. Their dedication to developing improved methods of healthcare and healthcare delivery means a cost-effective, modern hospital.
But with an expanding practice, their existing space wasn’t enough for their needs. They wanted a new state-of-the-art oncology infusion center, and we were brought in to design it.
The new center went into an existing historic building, but that brought its own difficulties. The geometry of the old building was challenging. Modern healthcare would have trouble operating in the current configuration. But, in the end, a successful design gave an esthetically pleasing and functional solution for staff and patients.
The two-floor renovation project delivered 30 infusion stations, 15 oncology exam rooms, a pharmacy, and a laboratory. The new center enhances the hospital’s oncology department and provides patients with a superior experience.
