When UPMC Susquehanna needed to reconfigure three hospital campuses, they called on us to help them develop a comprehensive, system-wide, multi-campus master plan. We met with various city and government officials and conducted community focus groups. The result? It made the most sense to re-invest in the existing campuses.
Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center received a core expansion, Divine Providence Hospital’s services were reconfigured, and Muncy Valley Hospital was upgraded. We worked closely with Susquehanna Health to make sure that the entire redevelopment project was consistent with their mission, vision, and values—to improve health, deliver world class care with an integrated community health system, and put patients and families first.
Through service-line redistribution, particular practices were focused in each campus, creating efficient service delivery for similar conditions. For example, Williamsport became the regional tertiary inpatient acute campus and Divine Providence focused on women’s health diagnostics and oncology.
These expansions and renovations created contemporary, best-practice medical care in safe, efficient, flexible, and aesthetically pleasing environments.
