Stakeholder Participation

By engaging the educational community throughout the design process, our team creates unique and memorable campus experiences to match an institution’s culture...

By involving end users in the planning and design process, our team garners insightful information about how a facility or campus space can best work for an institution. Because we strive to create memorable campus experiences, stakeholder participation is an important educational planning and design element. Institutions often ask us to work with a diverse set of stakeholders – students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, community members, and more. We engage these groups by utilizing thoughtful and meaningful outreach methods to explore opportunities for design. By conducting interviews, charrettes, focus groups, and forums, our team personally introduces the design process and engages end users. Social media also helps us expand our reach to the campus community, and has proven to be a highly effective tool for stakeholder engagement. We often spend significant time on campus to also understand the culture. Through these and other forms of interaction and discovery, we gather valuable information regarding perceptions of the current campus or facility, and begin the discussion which helps stakeholders generate ideas for future growth, development, and transformation.
