John has been working as a security consultant for over 20 years, providing advice in all aspects of security, operations, and information communication technology (ICT). He’s also led engineering services on large-scale, high-security projects in public/private partnership (PPP) environments.
With extensive experience in physical, electronic, and operational security measures, John tailors solutions to each environment and sector. He has provided specialist advice to clients in relation to the provision of Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) services, critical infrastructure, network infrastructure, crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED), hostile vehicle mitigation, control room design, and security risk management. Most recently, John applied his expertise in physical and electronic security to the Brisbane Airport OneSky project, designing and constructing specialist areas for Airservices and the Department of Defence.
An avid hiker, John enjoys getting outdoors as often as he can. When at home, his passion is cooking—Indian and Korean are among his favourite cuisines.
