Anand has more than 20 years of consulting, regulatory, and research experience in the areas of environmental chemistry, chemical assessments, toxicity, and risk assessment. He leads human-health and environmental risk assessment services for multiple industry sectors throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Adopting a weight-of-evidence approach, using multiple lines of evidence, Anand develops scientifically defensible, solutions for his clients, especially for sites with complex issues. This supports regulatory compliance, promotes sustainability, improves cost-effectiveness of remediation and risk mitigation solutions, and provides long-term reductions in risks and liabilities.
Recently, Anand presented at the Australian Land and Groundwater Associations (ALGAs) symposium on risk assessment about the beneficial reuse of waste material including the use of environmental and chemical risk assessments to help achieve circular economy.
When he isn’t leading risk assessments, Anand enjoys tackling DIY tasks and cooking. He also loves to get outdoors and play soccer, hike, and cycle.
