David is the group leader for delivery for our water business in Victoria. As a chemical engineer, he specialises in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment and odour control. With over 20 years’ experience in the water industry, David has executed complex projects relating to strategy, planning, design, commissioning, and operations of water and wastewater infrastructure throughout Australia—particularly for wastewater treatment systems.
Complex problems require creative thinking. Whether designing a new facility, modernising and rehabilitating existing structures, or extending networks, David’s depth of knowledge and innovative solutions support his clients from planning to commissioning. A memorable project for David is the Beechworth and Yackandandah water and sewer strategy review in North East Victoria. Here, he collaborated with the client and the project teams to address capacity issues for the entire network over the next 50 years. The outputs included a clear strategy for the future, as well as designs for two wastewater treatment upgrades.
Outside of work, David likes to keep active, recently completing a half marathon. He also enjoys spending time with his family, going to the footy, supporting the AFL Melbourne Demons, and playing his guitar at a local bar.
