Principal Transport Planner/Team Leader
After five years in science research, Liz changed careers to transport planning and has gained experience working in this sector in three countries. She loves the variety of work, size and scope, project focus, and the skills required to deliver positive outcomes. She has honed her capabilities around sustainable transport projects with a focus on walking and cycling, balancing technical and creative work.
A highlight of Liz’s career is her contribution to the development of the Travel to School Guideline for Austroads. Working with her team, she helped create a national resource that supports schools, councils, and communities in planning for safer, healthier, and more sustainable school travel. The guidelines bring together practical tools and case studies, promoting an integrated approach that links infrastructure planning with behaviour change.
Away from work, Liz loves bike riding and getting out in the great outdoors, enjoying firsthand the places her work helps shape.
