Ryan Jones

Ryan’s desire to preserve the integrity of our natural and built environments stems from hours spent hiking throughout Kentucky. That’s why she’s dedicated her 14-year career to scientifically supporting firm foundations.

As Lab Manager, Ryan leads a team of field and lab technicians who perform tests on soil, rock, aggregate, and concrete to provide engineers and clients the results they need to make critical decisions.

The results from her lab have supported the design of stability-enhancing retrofits at three of Tennessee Valley Authority’s hydroelectric dams. They have also informed rehabilitation efforts at Kentucky River Locks 1 through 4, allowing the Kentucky River Authority to reopen them to river traffic after an eight-year closure.

For Ryan and her team, data quality and integrity is their highest priority. When the strength of critical infrastructure is at stake, Ryan knows it matters to have data you can trust.
