With a strong foundation in science and mathematics, James has always been drawn to engineering—but found his niche in building services, where technical thinking meets communication and management. Today, he leads mechanical designs as a project technical lead, while also managing our mechanical team across Melbourne and Adelaide and overseeing project delivery from concept through to completion.
James’ experience spans projects across the commercial, health, defence, and social infrastructure sectors. Some of his projects include the Hobart Airport redevelopment, where working within a live terminal brought unique complexity, and our Melbourne office fit-out, a project he continues to enjoy every day.
Outside the office, James is an avid sportsman as well as a veteran of Australian Rules football and cricket fields. He’s recently taken up running and is also a well-travelled explorer with a long list of countries to his name.
