As a team lead for our Rehabilitation group, Ben manages a growing team of environmental scientists who assist with rehabilitation monitoring programs across Australia. Largely working with our mining clients to support their mine closure plans and environmental compliance, Ben strives to develop innovative solutions for monitoring objectives that meet mine closure commitments.
Known for his work in the development and application of remote sensing methods to rehabilitation monitoring, Ben has been involved in developing new ways to assess disturbance and rehabilitation within the resources industry across Australia. Recently, he coordinated remote sensing and on-ground monitoring projects in the mining and oil and gas sector and was seconded to a client’s rehabilitation and closure team to coordinate annual rehabilitation monitoring programs. He sees remote sensing technology as vital to how we will monitor mining, oil, and gas rehabilitation in the future.
When he isn’t at work, Ben is an avid follower of the Australian Football League and loves playing golf and reading.
