A flooding and stormwater engineer, Austin has five years of experience working on all things involving surface water hydrology and hydraulics. His project experience includes master drainage plans, catchment-wide flood studies, road upgrade studies, and stormwater management plans. Austin works on all scales of projects, from single site stormwater management plans to modeling entire river systems.
Austin is passionate about mentoring junior engineers and helping them develop the necessary skills to succeed in their own careers. He enjoys solving challenging issues to mitigate flood risk and provide sustainable outcomes for communities. He is particularly proud of working on master drainage plans in his local Sunshine Coast community, which developed solutions to mitigate flooding in affected areas.
In his spare time, Austin enjoys camping, spending time at the beach, and following plenty of sports, including rugby league, tennis, and Formula 1.
