An experienced civil engineer in the water resources market, Alireza supports clients across all areas of flood engineering, mitigation, and mapping. Skilled in the analysis and interpretation of flood data and well-versed in multiple flood management software systems, he guides the design of flood mitigation planning for urban and regional developments.
Alireza developed his passion for all aspects of flood engineering during his six-year PhD candidacy as a flood research assistant in Tehran. Moving to Australia in 2019, he started his career in Townsville, where he gained valuable experience in developing strategic flood risk management plans for inland and coastal communities in northern Queensland.
Outside of work, Alireza spends his time hiking early in the mornings, listening to social and cultural podcasts, and hanging out with friends. In the autumn, you’ll find him enjoying colourful leaves and cold, rainy days!
