Now an associate and structural project technical lead, Michael began his career as an undergraduate engineer with our team in Perth. Prior to graduation, he completed his thesis as part of his work at Stantec. At the time, our Sydney office was growing, and Michael moved to take advantage of the opportunity to help grow our structural section.
Since then, Michael has been responsible for all facets of the structural design process including conceptual design, client liaison, internal design team coordination, project documentation, and site supervision. Working closely with Bubbledeck Australia, Michael was involved in the structural design of Australia’s first project to use the Bubbledeck voided slab system. Since completion of this project, Michael has continued his working relationship with the client on various other projects.
When not dabbling in engineering, Michael also likes dabbling in photography. In his spare time, you can find him enjoying the ocean, scuba diving, and surfing.
