Creating environmentally friendly solutions with modern ideas

Our client was looking to establish a mixed-use high rise building with two towers on Church Avenue in New South Wales. They required assistance to accomplish this vision, so our team was enlisted to complete the hydraulic services drawing design and documentation installation details.

A problematic aspect of the project saw it impossible to gravitate the retail tenancy sewer pipes towards the Sydney Water Authority's sewer main. Our answer was to implement a pump station, helping lift the pipes so they could connect to the sewer line. With careful coordination alongside Sydney Water Authority, we met all the conditions and safety standards. A positive air pressure attenuator (PAPA) drainage system was applied to reduce the venting requirements by seeing reduced vent entrances within the roof level. Additionally, this system accommodates more flexibility with the drainage design and collection of rainwater to be repurposed and recycled to offer a sustainable solution for landscaping and car-wash consumption.

This project has not only given the community more, much-needed housing options, it also contributes to responsible development by recycling water and reducing water usage.
