High-end Brisbane apartment towers linked by feature sky bridge

Avion Residences

Avion Residences in Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane features two x 15-storey towers linked by a sky bridge, providing 174 apartments and nine retail tenancies. Stantec’s electrical, mechanical, vertical transportation and sustainability teams consulted on the development of documentation for the D&C contract. We were then novated to the Builder part-way through the design period and participated in value management sessions in consultation with the whole project team before finalising D&C tender documents. 

The development’s twin towers sit atop a shared two-level commercial podium and underground car park. A rooftop communal terrace area with swimming pool, outdoor cinema, private dining room, relaxation zones and a barbecue area make use of a sky bridge linking the two towers some 15 storeys up. Documenting the building services for the complex structure in Revit proved invaluable to the design team, participating in workshops throughout the design period to overcome constructability challenges. This helped avoid costly delays.

Our experience in providing integrated services in a collaborative environment benefited the delivery of this unusual residential design within a D&C contract.
