Blueys Beach Residential Subdivision

Addenbrooke Pty Ltd wanted to develop a residential subdivision in Blueys Beach, a coastal town on the New South Wales mid coast. They engaged us to support the approval and delivery of the project.

With community and council concerns around overdevelopment, infrastructure, and environmental impact, the project demanded a sensitive and collaborative approach. We led a multidisciplinary response, providing project management, civil and stormwater engineering, planning, consultation, landscaping, traffic, geotechnical, visual impact, and environmental health services.

Our team facilitated extensive engagement with over 75 groups, which resulted in three major design revisions. Key changes included a road network aligned with natural contours, reduced cut and fill, enhanced stormwater detention, and improved pedestrian and cycle connectivity. By collaborating with local architects, we naturalised the layout and reinforced local character.

The final design mitigated flood impacts, preserved native vegetation, and introduced new green spaces and community infrastructure, including a commercial precinct with electric vehicle (EV) charging. Comprising 64 residential lots, the subdivision represents a 25 percent increase in the town’s existing dwellings.
