Brisbane Stadium is a major investment in Australia’s future in both the national and global sports spotlights. As part of the COX + Hassell’s design team, we are delivering engineering services for the 63,000-seat venue.
Energy efficiency, resilience, and performance are at the heart of the stadium design. Our electrical engineering team will develop robust power and communication systems that support safe and reliable operations—from everyday events to signature moments like the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Our scope also includes the full electrical network such as high- and low-voltage systems, backup generation, and uninterruptible power supplies. Smart controls and sustainable technologies will be embedded throughout the design to reduce energy use, lower emissions, and enhance long-term operational performance. We will also provide fire safety, dry fire protection systems, electronic security, pedestrian and crowd modelling, and vertical transportation services.
Set within Victoria Park (Barrambin), just minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, the stadium will take its place on the world stage as a vibrant, long-term destination for major sports, entertainment, and community events.
