Built Western Australia Office Refurbishment
Built is a national diversified general contractor with offices in Australia, New Zealand, and London. Their team in Western Australia (WA) was looking for a bespoke office refurbishment to reflect their company culture and demonstrate their core business.
Our team was engaged to design the mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fire protection services to refurbish the existing building to a highly detailed industrial finish. We opted for an exposed concrete structure that retained and exposed existing services, and our design incorporated high load areas for meetings and training without affecting the building façade. The exposed services demonstrate the seamless integration into the building structure, while exposed natural surfaces like concrete, timber, and metals were selected to convey the level of detail Built provides in their business operations.
The resulting office refurbishment was recognised at the December 2015 Design Institute Australia (DIA) WA chapter awards. Notably, the design received the Best in State Award, which is given to the project deemed the most outstanding across all professional award categories.
