Calvary Adelaide Hospital

With a 120 year-long legacy of serving the Adelaide community, Calvary Hospital cares for over 27, 000 private patients every year. To expand its range of services and specialist amenities, Calvary wanted to create a state-of-the-art, clinician-led facility to address the region’s future health demands. The challenge for our electrical, communications and security team was to design infrastructure for the comprehensive range of services that would be needed for the largest hospital in South Australia (SA).

The $400 million project provides 344 beds over twelve storeys, and the electrical design supports specialist services, such as a Level 3 Intensive Care Unit, operating theatres, emergency department, cardiac care, cath labs, imaging services and a rehabilitation wing with hydrotherapy pool. The hospital also features SA’s first custom-designed hybrid theatre combining a surgical and radiology suite, enabling rapid diagnoses for patients.

Now complete, Calvary Adelaide Hospital is fully equipped with the latest technology to provide quality, responsive healthcare services with a focus on patient care, and will meet the needs of the region’s communities for years to come.
