Darcy Road Public School Expansion - Groundwater Impact Assessment

Careful site evaluation key to improving education opportunities

  • New South Wales

    New South Wales

Providing a better learning space for students starts with finding the right location on site

Darcy Road Public School wanted to expand and upgrade their facilities to accommodate increased enrollments. This would require demolishing most of the existing buildings so new educational facilities could be constructed to accommodate 1,000 students. The School also wanted to use this opportunity to create a better learning environment by incorporating outdoor space. They engaged us to prepare a groundwater impact assessment to help them determine how best to proceed.

We conducted a desktop review of the site, features, and surrounds, examining regional and site hydrogeology and groundwater resource use.

Based on our analysis and assistance, the School was able to proceed with the planning process, avoiding adverse impacts from stormwater or the groundwater in the area.
