This bold waterfront precinct reconnects Perth’s central business district to the Swan River, putting the heart back into the city
The Elizabeth Quay development has brought life back into Perth’s central business district (CBD) and built a link from the city’s waterfront to the cultural centre in Northbridge.
As the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority's (MRA) principal consultant for Elizabeth Quay, we provided over 45 engineers in various disciplines across four offices for the feasibility, design, and construction phases. Our team included marine consultants MP Rogers and Associates, hydrologists Syrinx Environmental, and licensed surveyors McMullen Nolan. Our services included coordinating detailed design, documentation, feasibilities, cost estimates, and business case reports to assist with project mandates.
Detailed design included remediation, earthworks, servicing relocations, sewer reticulation, water supply, drainage, roadworks, and underground power. We played a key interface role between civil subdivisional and public realm landscaping works and continue to provide advice to MRA and the managing contractor (Leighton Broad JV) throughout the multi-staged construction process.
When completed, the Elizabeth Quay will serve as a singular entertainment destination for Perth communities.
