Designing and constructing a new, three-oval cricket facility for the community in Camden

Fergusons Land Cricket Facility

Camden Council is one of the fastest growing local government areas in New South Wales. When the rapidly growing community needed quality sporting facilities, we were there to deliver the design and construction of a new cricket facility.

We were engaged to design a new, three-oval premier cricket facility complete with all necessary amenities on Fergusons Land. In addition to designing the facility, we were also responsible for managing contract documentation and construction services. Designed in accordance with Cricket Australia Community Cricket Facility Guidelines, stage one of the project delivered a new playing field with irrigation, a new amenities building, new bridge access and carparking facilities, five training cricket nets, and landscaping.

One of the challenges of the site? Close to the Nepean River and Matahil Creek, the site’s prone to flooding. Our cost-effective design minimizes the impact of flooding on the infrastructure and provides an aesthetic, safe facility for the local cricket community.
