Joondalup Health Campus Engineering Design Consulting

Healthcare buildings constantly need to evolve in response to population growth, clinical skills, new services, and technologies. For more than two decades, we’ve partnered with Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) in Western Australia to provide specialist and diverse engineering services through a variety of upgrades, expansions, and enhancements to align JHC’s services with prevailing regulations.

Touching almost every aspect of the hospital precinct during this time, our acoustics, electrical, sustainability, and vertical transportation specialists have worked on small and major projects. These include Stage 1 of the JHC redevelopment in 2013, Telethon Children’s ward in 2016, and the Mental Health Observation and Assessment Unit in 2017.

Currently, we’re working with JHC on their $269.4 million Stage 2 redevelopment. Flexibility for growth is, as always, a key design consideration. This recent project includes the expansion of the central energy plant to support future services, requiring careful staging to maintain normal ongoing activity within the hospital.

Through these efforts, JHC can continue to provide contemporary facilities and acute health service provisions to meet the changing needs of the growing Perth community.
