Kalgoorlie DoubleTree Hilton

The proposed DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Western Australia’s Kalgoorlie region comprises of 128 rooms across two storeys to include a single storey clubhouse with associated amenities. This would be a welcome solution to provide the region and its visitors with options for accommodation.

Our team was appointed to provide designs for the new hotel which required acoustics, electrical, fire protection, hydraulic, mechanical, sustainability, and vertical transportation services. One of the challenges encountered was inconsistencies while attempting to identify the servicing strategy as the site lies on an old refuse tip. To overcome this, our hydraulic engineers thoroughly investigated the Land Title rights, liaising closely with all stakeholders to pinpoint the site boundaries and determine the services provision situation. Our efforts allowed the client to approach the City Council seeking clarification and amendment to services and associated works along the lot boundary.

With our comprehensive experience of title documentation and services strategies, we helped mitigate potential time delays alongside associated costs to offer visitors and the community a pleasant place to stay while away from home.
