Providing National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) advice
Developer Otello set out to deliver apartments in the Kent Town mixed-use development. The project includes refurbishing an existing heritage building site and creating a new ten-storey building with high-end apartments, health facilities, and 4,000 square metres of office space designed to National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) standards.
The challenge?
Identifying a pragmatic approach to help Otello provide a sustainable outcome in new designs. We delivered sustainability advice through an environmentally sustainable development (ESD) options report, Section J energy efficiency compliance, and the predicted NABERS modelling.
This approach to sustainable design services focuses on achieving best practice sustainability outcomes without the expense of going to formal ratings such as Green Star. Additionally, the predictive NABERS modelling—and our advice on detailed energy modelling—will help reduce risks and support Otello’s goal of achieving an environmentally friendly, sustainable design once the building is complete.
