Perth Hub - Lots 2 and 3A, Perth City Link

For 100 years, the centre of Perth was bisected by its rail line. To remedy this, the City of Perth promoted the development of strategic sites in a $1.4 billion project. Perth Hub reconnects Perth’s CBD with bustling Northbridge, creating a new destination in the heart of the city. Working closely with developer Far East Consortium, we helped overcome numerous challenges in the design and construction of 314 apartments, 1,200 square metres of retail space, and a 250-suite Dorsett Hotel.

We assessed the congested electrical, communications, water, and roads infrastructure and provided an engineered solution to align site connections. Collaborating by using building information modelling (BIM) software helped us reduce the space needed for the electrical plant and ventilation and to simplify connections across the development. Our acoustic, lighting, mechanical, and fire services specialists also contributed to the intricate façade.

A life-cycle assessment and climate adaptation plan played a central role in attaining the 5-Star Green Star Design Certification. This involved strategies such as solar, air tightness, energy efficiency, and environmental footprint reduction, all aimed at providing a functional, resilient building in extreme events.

Anticipating over one million visitors a year, Perth Hub and Dorsett Hotel offer luxury and vibrancy in a central location, just a few steps from commerce, arts and culture, nightlife, shopping, and nature.
