Protea by PresCare

PresCare opened a new residential aged care facility in Queensland’s Townsville, providing 140 beds over four levels with 24-hour nursing care, access to Allied Health Services, a state-of-the-art Day Therapy Centre, gym, café and rooftop gardens. Working closely with the client, architect and Woollam Constructions to realise operational savings with respect to energy and maintenance, Stantec’s consultants provided full design services and construction assistance for the lighting, power, vertical transportation, passive ICT infrastructure, fire engineering, ESD and dry fire systems.

Offering flexibility, our ICT design ensures residents can access appropriate digital technologies now and into the future. Meanwhile the lighting design is focused on the health and wellbeing of residents without sacrificing energy efficiency or functionality.

Stantec’s solutions helped achieve the project’s operational goals, allowing PresCare to offer holistic, high quality care and a wide range of amenities to serve Townsville’s Seniors for years to come.
