Robina Town Centre Market Hall Redevelopment

In a competitively developing area, the redevelopment and expansion of the southern end of the Robina Town Centre aimed to provide a fresh feeling to the well-visited Gold Coast shopping centre. This refresh incorporated several specialty stores and restaurants into the Market Hall including a new Coles store—one of the first in Queensland to be designed with the Coles “Next Generation” scheme.

The project was completed over three stages with our involvement including Revit building information modeling (BIM) design of the mechanical and electrical specifics of the expansion such as air conditioning, ventilation layout, and mall feature lighting. To elevate the experience of guests visiting the Market Hall food court, the artful 3D modelling and coordination of mechanical and electrical services was required. Our solution to conceal services in column spaces allowed for an aesthetically pleasing and clean open space in which visitors could enjoy a break from shopping.

These thoughtfully placed services allowed the Market Hall expansion and redevelopment of the Robina Town Centre to offer new jobs and accommodate new boutique and up-market tenants while maintaining a world-class retail shopping experience.
