Transforming the Tolland social housing precinct into a vibrant new community

Tolland Urban Renewal Project

The Tolland precinct faced significant challenges including outdated social housing, limited amenities, and inadequate infrastructure. The Land and Housing Corporation wanted to address these issues by creating a modern, inclusive, and safe environment that fosters community spirit and enhances residents' quality of life.

We’re part of the collaboration with the Land and Housing Corporation, the Aboriginal Housing Office, the Argyle Consortium, and Wagga Wagga City Council, providing comprehensive project management and masterplanning. Our scope includes civil and landscape design, key party consultation, and town planning to support a holistic and community-focused outcome.

Solutions include a mix of housing types to cater to diverse needs, new roads, parks, and community facilities to support vibrant community life, and flood mitigation measures to enhance safety and resilience. We are designing open spaces and street layouts that promote sustainability and adhere to state guidelines.

This ambitious project will deliver around 500 new homes including social, affordable, seniors, and private housing.
