Warrick Lane Blacktown

Having the opportunity to be involved in a project which will transform the urban fabric of a place is always a privilege. The redevelopment of the Warrick Lane precinct, in Blacktown City, is one of those transformational projects.

Located on five parcels of land in the central business district, the works for stage one include a new public plaza, construction of a four-storey underground car park, and enabling works to facilitate development of the remaining lots. Our role was to prepare the civil design of the enabling works. We provided the design of the road grading, stormwater drainage for the site, including diversion of overland flows, utility coordination, and liaison with other disciplines such as architectural design and landscape design.

Located on the traditional lands of the Darug peoples, the development will include signage and art works incorporating Darug naming and images. The Warrick Lane precinct development includes parks, playgrounds, street furniture, and food and shopping venues, to create a vibrant and walkable gathering place.
