Willowdale Aged Care was developed to meet the demands of the ageing population in Denham Court, a suburb located southwest of Sydney. Designed for hotel-like comfort, the premium two storey residential aged care facility boasts 130 bedrooms and central essential facilities for the elderly which include personal care, allied health services, social programs, and nurse call 24/7.

We delivered a one-stop service across all engineering disciplines relevant to aged care—structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire protection, fire engineering, acoustics, and sustainability. Our technical solutions had to consider the purpose of the various rooms in the facility, with design decisions around the fit-out, fixtures and fittings. As the sole engineering consultant for this project, we provided seamless communication, streamlined project coordination, and efficient delivery. Representatives from each of the engineering disciplines were able to provide highly personalised advice and assistance during all design phases and construction, meeting all the client’s needs.
