International Development Team in Belgium grows technical expertise in energy and climate

09/16/18 LA HULPE, BELGIUM

With a growing involvement in several large framework contracts for international funding institutions and a strong backlog of energy and climate projects, the International Development Team in La Hulpe has been steadily growing over the past few years to provide an increasing high level of technical expertise and delivery of qualitative and innovative services.

The team welcomes two experienced senior professionals to the team to support the organization’s growth in the energy and climate mitigation sectors. Senior energy expert Gregor Probst, a specialist in climate and renewable energy with over 15 years of experience, joins the team in Belgium as a senior strategic advisor in energy and climate, and Jane Wilkinson coming in as climate change mitigation advisor of the GCCA+ (www.gcca.eu) EU project to join the team full time for the next three years.

Gregor Probst will bring his expertise and fieldwork work experience in various developing countries to grow the team’s service offering related to energy access and climate mitigation, to clients such as the European Commission and other donors. Located in the Belgium office in La Hulpe, Gregor will actively contribute to the technical leadership of the energy and climate portfolio, leading the in-house technical expertise in energy and climate to better serve clients and support international growth.

In her external role, Jane Wilkinson will apply her multifaceted expertise in international relations, climate diplomacy, communication, and programme management to lead the GCCA+ team. Her 12+ years of international expertise can be called on as she acts as the go-to international climate change expert.

“As we continue to grow our backlog, our team is always looking for some top experts to join us as we are always seeking to best serve our clients. While we already have a robust team of project managers to help guide these initiatives forward, the addition of these two technical experts will be very valuable in our efforts to bring the best results to the communities and clients we serve,” adds Christophe Leroy, Director of Operations in Belgium. “We are excited by the vast amount of project opportunities ahead and feel that the in-house technical expertise we keep adding will strengthen our project delivery and client outputs.”
