Stantec Shortlisted at Association for Consulting & Engineering Awards

Stantec nominated for Emerging Professional Employer Award

05/09/2019 LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM TSX, NYSE:STN

Stantec has been shortlisted for the 2019 ACE Consultancy & Engineering Emerging Professional Employer of the Year Award.

Acknowledging the best people, initiatives and companies from across the engineering and consultancy sector, the awards recognises the achievements of both Association for Consultancy and Engineering members and non-member organisations.

Stantec’s unique innovative Cradle to Sage’ recruitment, retention and talent development programme, flexible working policies, company culture and values have led to Stantec being nominated for this prestigious award.

Mariana Goncalves, Civil Engineer at Stantec said; “Starting work for Stantec straight after University, required moving to a city I had never been to before in a different country. People ask me how difficult this transition was, I can only reply that I couldn’t have been luckier. I feel valued both professionally and personally. I am supported to pursue further qualification through chartership and encouraged to keep developing personally.”

Daniel Causley, Senior Manager at Stantec said; “Joining the company Graduate Programme in 2002, I received guidance, support and encouragement to develop my personal skills and career. As a graduate, I had the opportunity to work three months in our Melbourne office contributing to my Chartership with IMechE in 2007. I am currently responsible for a UK team of 70 engineers and I am helping to lead Stantec’s digital strategy.”

Caitlin Sutherland from PBA, now part of Stantec, has also been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year Award.

The shortlist has been chosen by a panel of expert industry judges headed by Roger Bailey of Thames Tideway. Winners will be unveiled at an awards ceremony in central London on 6 June.
