Rachel has everything you want in a great sustainability leader: a deep commitment to leveraging design to help people and communities thrive now and for years to come, the expertise to articulate the business case for sustainable design, and the ability to inspire teams to see opportunities for more sustainable solutions in every project.
Her experience spans designing high-performance and net zero energy buildings as well as sustainable, climate-resilient master planning across the world. Her current mission? Implementing a culture of sustainability across all Stantec’s project teams and their design solutions, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. She works with our climate solution leaders to define and deliver climate action and climate justice and with our global experts to design locally-impactful solutions that improve everybody’s quality of life.
When she isn’t finding ways to empower our people with ownership and responsibility over their projects’ sustainability, Rachel is busy raising two young environmentalists-in-training.
