Nick spends his days ensuring the safety of structures throughout North America through traditional and innovative structural inspection techniques. With more than 17 years of experience, he’s worked on a wide array of highway, bridge, and tunnel inspection projects in 26 states in all climatic conditions—from Alaska to Florida.
Including work on long-span bridges, Nick has performed or managed tens of thousands of National Bridge Index and Element Level bridge and tunnel inspections. He’s worked on bridges like the O’Callaghan-Tillman (Hoover Dam Bypass) bridge and tunnels like the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels.
Nick is also a purveyor of computer and software programming. As the innovator behind the development of a risk-based asset management logic system, Nick has been responsible for performance-measure creation, deterioration projection, repair strategy, and funding criteria to effectively complete benefit-cost analyses.
This logic system predicts project and funding needs to meet and maintain performance measures and minimizes the potential for costly and unnecessary maintenance for Nick’s clients.
