Christopher Feeney

Senior Associate, Civil Engineer

Photo of Christopher

Chris is a water and natural resources engineer and project technical lead with over 25 years of experience. Most recently, his focus has been on wet weather related projects to significantly reduce or eliminate combined sewer overflows that impact the water quality of natural waterways.

As a lover of the water, and particularly Narragansett Bay, it is entirely fitting for Chris to be chief engineer and program technical lead for Narragansett Bay Commission’s Phase III Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Facilities Program. The three-phase program, aimed at lowering annual CSO volumes and reducing annual shellfish bed closures, has been a major focus of Chris’ entire career, bringing tremendous satisfaction as it has had an immediate, dramatic role in improving water quality in the Bay. Phase III will continue that successful effort.

Chris’ love for water isn’t confined to his day job—when he’s not at the office, he spends as much time as he can exploring Rhode Island’s spectacular coastline. He enjoys playing and watching hockey (go Bruins!), running, and also coaches a lacrosse team.
