Alison discovered her passion for lighting design while acquiring her bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University. Now, working out of Seattle, Washington, she thrives on using light as a tool to manipulate the perception of a space for the people using it.
Alison enjoys producing creative—and effective—design solutions that meet her clients’ goals. As a lighting designer and project manager, she works on projects of all types and sizes, meeting with clients and architects to determine the best ways to achieve their design vision. “Sometimes there will already be a strong concept established and I execute it. Other times, clients are looking for me to contribute fresh ideas—this is when I get to be most creative.” (Alison)
Whether running, riding her bike, spending time at Green Lake with friends, or getting out to the mountains with her husband, Alison likes to be in the outdoors. Otherwise, she can usually be found on her deck reading with a cup of coffee.
