Arlen began his northern engineering career in Yellowknife in 2009 and has been involved in a diverse selection of municipal projects ever since. From numerous site visits to remote communities across the North, he understands the challenges faced and the harsh environments that designs must overcome.
As the civil engineering team lead for Northern Canada, Arlen plays a leading role attributing specialized expertise with Arctic municipal engineering design, construction, and management. His adaptability and desire to provide cost effective and working solutions prove him to be a valuable and versatile resource. Arlen is dedicated to making Northern communities better places to live, work and play—this is demonstrated by his serving as the former president of the Northern Territories Water and Waste Association, Director of Western Canada Water, and Deputy Chair of the Cold Regions Division Council of CSCE.
When he’s not working hard to better the environment, Arlen likes to spend his time enjoying it—fishing, snowmobiling and spending time at the cabin with his family are his favorite things to do.
