Kerry Gosse

Principal, Heritage Building Specialist

Photo of Kerry

Kerry has over 30 of experience in project management, architectural design, conservation, and contract administration for commercial institutional, residential, historic, and tourism developments. She is our Discipline Leader for Architecture Atlantic in our architecture group, and Kerry also serves as an operational office lead and senior architect in our buildings group.

A designated heritage building specialist, Kerry is dedicated to preserving the rich architectural heritage of the Atlantic region. Recently, she contributed her skills to the historical restoration of a mid-1800s colonial building. This project was the original seat of government for Newfoundland when it was a British Colony. Due to budget constraints, the restoration was spread over numerous years. Research was started in 2007, and now she’s finally working on the interiors specialty finishes. Completion of this project should happen in 2018. Once complete the building will be open to the public and tell the story of Newfoundland’s road from British Colony to the 10th province of Canada.

Serving on a number of historic and restoration committees, Kerry is a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (currently chair of the Atlantic chapter), and she’s a past chair and founding member of the Atlantic chapter of the Canadian Green Building Council. At home, she’s probably spending her free time with her husband and their Bull Mastiffs.
