Shaun is as serious about open door communication with his team and clients as he is about incorporating safe design into a mine’s infrastructure. Trust, open-mindedness, and long-standing relationships are at the foundation of his work. He is dedicated to showing by example and helping the members of his team grow. Shaun’s experience includes mine design layouts, infrastructure design and optimization, cost estimating and construction scheduling, as well as ventilation, mine discharge and backfill distribution. He also has hands-on experience with operations, vertical shaft sinking, and construction projects.
Shaun is heavily involved in the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME). His goal is to assist in making SME the #1 resource for the mining industry including supporting governmental affairs, student education, providing technical papers, and increasing membership. In 2015, Shaun was recognized by SME with a Distinguished Service Award for his long commitment to the Society.
