Ben is a passionate leader who recognizes the benefits that stem from understanding client needs, applying technical knowledge, and utilizing solution-based strategies to help his clients and build relationships. As both a business center practice leader and major projects lead for our Transportation team in British Columbia, Ben builds and supports strong connections with project stakeholders. This ability is complemented by his diverse skill set, ensuring all aspects of any project are accounted for—from the initial conceptual planning to construction completion.
Since joining Stantec in 2008, Ben has worked on dozens of diverse highway and urban municipal projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta. He’s helped lead and deliver some of the team’s marquee projects for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and other local clients.
Ben’s expertise covers highway and roadway design, project management, municipal engineering, planning projects, report writing, sustainable design, contract administration, construction inspection, and construction surveying. Outside of work, Ben stays active hiking with his dog, playing hockey, golfing, cycling, and snowboarding. When they can, he and his wife also love to get away, traveling internationally to experience different cultures and history.
