Janet’s passions span hundreds of years. When she donates her time or money, her charities are dedicated to the preservation of old houses and churches; but she spends her professional life using the latest technologies to make air travel safer and more efficient. Most passengers will only see a tiny fraction of Janet’s work—bag drop conveyors and baggage claim carousels—but her expertise extends the entire length of baggage handling systems, including conveyors, automatic baggage sortation, and in-line hold baggage screening systems. For over 20 years, Janet has designed baggage systems for airports from Vancouver, British Columbia to Halifax, Nova Scotia, from Iqaluit, Nunavut to Santiago, Chile, and has taken projects from conceptual design through RFP document preparation and process, to construction administration, commissioning, and completion.
Janet also works extensively with passenger loading bridges, elevators, escalators, moving walks, and other material handling systems.
