Photo of Jean

During his university years, Jean developed a deep passion and expertise for steel frames and various structures, mainly in connection with bridges and civil engineering structures. Jean has worked in a dozen countries in Africa, Asia, and America. With over 35 years’ career experience, he has carried out more than 1,000 construction and rehabilitation contracts involving his specialty, in addition to buildings and road and rail infrastructures, for public and parapublic sector clients.

Jean is responsible for defining and supervising the design work carried out by his teams. His specialty often leads him to innovate by design and original solutions, which he adapts to the circumstances of his interventions.

Responsible for the rehabilitation of significant deck sections of the Champlain Bridge, Jean was also involved in the installation of the super-beam for the bridge’s temporary stabilization.

Jean foresees an increase in infrastructure refurbishment mandates including those related to bridges. He notes, enthusiastically, the interest in using environmentally friendly, sustainable, resistant, and renewable materials such as aluminum and wood.

Jean is involved in providing training to engineer members of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC).
